Expanded Porvair Capability to Better Secure our Supply Chain

A lesson learned from the challenges of the last two years has been the absolute need to have a robust network of suppliers, and thereby a secure supply chain to our customers, continuing to deliver high standards and quality products.

Consolidating supply chains ensures security thereby avoiding wildly fluctuating availability and costs.

A key effort towards this goal has been in the area of machined hardware components. The supply of high-quality precision-made standard, and sometimes custom designed, hardware has been a challenge which Porvair has been compelled to address.

At all five of Porvair’s facilities in the USA and  UK, we have now formed greater bonds with our suppliers, and in some cases, through acquisition, secured the capability to produce our own fittings to the high quality level that our customers demand.

Over the coming months we will be introducing these component parts into our standard product ranges and, where required, will seek approval from key customers if component brand has been stipulated.

Rest assured that Porvair product quality and specifications are maintained or improved by this action while allowing greater oversight and options for our supply chain security.
