REACH Compliance and Stewardship Statement
Porvair Filtration Group is committed to the responsible management, reduction, and, where feasible, the phase out of substances regulated under the European REACH Regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) and comparable international chemical frameworks. Our Engineering and Manufacturing functions operate under stringent internal standards designed to ensure that all chemicals used in our processes are carefully controlled, with workplace hazards minimised through engineering, administrative, and procedural safeguards.
Wherever practicable, Porvair actively seeks to replace higher hazard substances with safer, technically viable alternatives. However, we recognise that certain chemicals regulated under REACH are essential to the safe and effective performance of our advanced filtration technologies. In these cases, we will not compromise product safety or functional integrity. Instead, we maintain rigorous substance management protocols and exposure control measures to ensure their responsible use, while continuing to evaluate substitution opportunities as new technologies emerge.
Our REACH Regulatory Commitment
Porvair Filtration Group is fully committed to meeting all obligations under both the European and UK REACH Regulations, including the requirements set out in Article 33 – Duty to communicate information on substances in articles.
We take these legal responsibilities seriously and ensure full transparency in our chemical management practices.
To support our customers and maintain clarity throughout our supply chain, Porvair provides Safe Use Instructions on our website for all substances currently subject to REACH Authorisation. These documents identify any REACH‑relevant substances present within our products and provide the information necessary to ensure their safe use.
Porvair Filtration Group confirms that we do not supply any product containing Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) above the 0.1% w/w notification threshold.
