We’re looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our Production team at our Segensworth site. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will play a key role in delivering manufacturing excellence, driving continuous improvement, and introducing innovative engineering solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing
Production & Engineering Support
- Ensure manufacturing readiness across product lines
- Design and deliver tooling solutions to minimise downtime
- Support production teams with training and technical expertise
- Lead root cause investigations and improve first pass yield
Process Development & Optimisation
- Develop safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes
- Conduct DOE, PFMEA, SPC, and control plans to optimise performance
- Validate new processes and ensure smooth handover to production
- Lead FAT/SAT activities to ensure successful implementation
New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Champion Design for Manufacture (DfM) principles
- Support early-stage product development and prototype builds
- Work closely with engineering, production, and suppliers
- Contribute to design reviews and testing strategies
Continuous Improvement
- Drive Lean initiatives and Kaizen activities
- Deliver data-driven improvements in cost, quality, and delivery
- Support capital investment planning and capacity expansion
Safety & Compliance
- Promote a safety-first culture
- Ensure all equipment and processes meet HSE and regulatory standards
- Support risk assessments and incident investigations
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering
- 2–5 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering
- Experience in aerospace or similar high-mix, low-volume environments
- Strong knowledge of:
- Product development & manufacturing processes
- GD&T and CAD
- FMEA, 8D problem solving
- Metal fabrication and surface treatments
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Project management experience and strong IT skills (MS Office)
Desirable
- Lean / Six Sigma knowledge
- SAP or ERP experience
- CNC or machining workshop experience
