Design Engineer

Salary - Upto £50k based on experience

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyse sales/customer requirements and prepare 3D models/ drawings for manufacture, technical reports and specifications

• Analyse products to ensure integrity of design and performance specifications are met.

• Perform detail design calculations to ensure "Right First Time Design’

• Conduct design reviews during project lifetime and ensure "Design for Manufacture" and "Value Engineering" principles are applied.

• Provide technical support to sales both internally and externally.

• Communicate effectively with the following:

  • Sales engineers/ account managers

  • Customers

  • Manufacturing/Quality/Purchasing/Planning teams

  • Subcontractors

Tools / Equipment Used

• Autodesk Inventor 2021,

• Office 365, MsProject

• TK Solver/ MathCAD

Experience Required:

• Entire design process from initial concept to volume production

Qualifications / Training Required

• Degree/HNC Minimum in Mechanical Engineering

• A minimum of 2 years relevant mechanical engineering experience including a knowledge of fluid mechanics and pressure systems.

• Competent in the use of 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
