Both Vyon® sintered porous plastic and Sinterflo® sintered porous metals are used extensively for filtration applications. Not only do these materials offer superb filtration characteristics, but they are mechanically strong and exhibit excellent chemical and temperature resistance.

Dust filtration
Vyon® sintered porous plastics are ideal for both domestic and industrial vacuum cleaner applications, either for dust collection or for motor protection. Exhibiting high filtration efficiencies and mechanical strength, these products can be easily cleaned and reused, and are therefore very cost effective.
Water filtration
Vyon® sintered porous plastic products are the preferred choice to retain activated carbon for water filtration applications. Vyon® is used in products for both domestic, ‘under the sink’ products and for industrial applications.
Chemical filtration
Both Vyon® sintered porous plastics and Sinterflo®sintered porous metals are used in for a wide range of chemical filtration applications. Vyon® is resistant to many organic solvents and Sinterflo® sintered porous metals is particularly beneficial for high temperature and aggressive chemical applications. Typical applications are found in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, petrochemical and chemical industries.
Steam filtration
Sinterflo® stainless steel isostatic tubes are the chosen material for steam filtration filters used in the pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries.
