Gas Transmission

Porvair Filtration Group has supplied to the gas transmission sector since the commercialisation and distribution of North Sea natural gas. The equipment consists of dry gas filters utilising glass fibre and polypropylene filter media, demisters, liquid/gas coalescers, cyclonic separators (multiple cyclones) as stand alone items. Complete customer specific designed systems can be supplied, including gas conditioning and pressure reduction units, and comprehensive filtration packages.

We have specialised in the development of multiple stage separations to provide the most effective separation of droplets and solids on the smallest possible footprint. These have included vertically integrated separation plant, high separation area streamline filter units, square box filter units and packaged plant with heaters, pressure control and control systems.

Our dry gas filters remove particulate from the gas stream at all pressures ranging from 70 mbar to in excess of 100 bar and our filter coalescers remove droplets and particulate at all operating conditions though primarily medium to high pressure. Our cyclone and demister separation plant remove bulk liquid and solid challenges, either as separate stand alone plant or as a part of a multiple stage separation requirement.

Our manufacturing capabilities include the complete element or cartridge build, which is available on multiple sites in the UK and USA, along with the build of complete vessel assemblies. We boast specialist fabrication skills and techniques in all of its manufacturing sites around the world as well as extensive cleanroom facilities on two sites.
